DNG Dorrian is excited to market Slieve League House, a significant property with a successful Bed & Breakfast business, located on the slopes of the rapidly popular Slieve League Mountain Range, now becoming "Ireland's No. 1 Tourist Attraction" along the world renowned Wild Atlantic Way.

The saying “location, location, location” perfectly fits Slieve League House. The property occupies a highly lucrative roadside location along the main access point leading to the Slieve League mountain range, a “honeypot” location that is generating more than 200k yearly visitors and raising. Sitting less than 500 meters from the upper visitor’s carpark beside the viewing platform, this property takes full advantage of its strategic position. The property benefits greatly from its excellent reviews, reputation, and, most importantly, good repeat business, particularly from international hill-walking groups spanning the globe. The business is run with the assistance of 2 part time members of staff as and when required. This renowned B&B has a strong repeat following and holds an impressive 4.9-star Airbnb and 4.5-star TripAdvisor, not to mention a 4.7-star Google search rating, making it one of Donegal’s most popular guesthouses.

Slieve League / Sliabh Liag (54.6401° N, 8.6822° W) The mountain of Sliabh Liag covers 5000 acres and stretches from Teileann all the way to Malin Beag. The rocks that formed Sliabh Liag are 300 million years old and are part of the Dalradian supergroup.

Sliabh Liag rises to a height of 603m (1972ft), the highest point being the arete called the One Man’s Pass.    The mountain has many man-made additions that range from St Aodh Mac Bhricne’s church at the top of the Pilgrim’s Path to a Martello Tower built by the British during the Napoleonic Wars and an EIRE sign which was constructed by the Irish Government during the Second World War.

The general area has seen sufficient investment over the last three to four years including the opening in 2019 of a state funded visitors’ centre and equally impressive state-of-the-art Slieve League Cliffs Centre. Nearby occupiers also include The Rusty Mackerel, a renowned traditional Irish bar, restaurant, and accommodation made famous for its traditional music and warm, friendly atmosphere.

The Property: Perched on a landscaped site with extensive parking facilities, the property commands partial views towards Teelin Estuary with the majestic Slieve League Mountain range sitting in the forefront.

The accommodation comprises of lettable 10 guest bedrooms (6 doubles, 2 family rooms all en-suite, 2 twin rooms not) spanning an overall floor area of c. 336 sq.m (3,628 sq.ft) and presented very good condition throughout.
