Independent Property Estates are honoured to introduce Peter Pan Camper Van, a truly unique opportunity to acquire a successful business operating in the increasingly popular Van Life Travel sector.

The hashtag "vanlife" has 17 million posts on Instagram making this style of travel highly desirable.

Peter Pan Camper Van was birthed by couple, Katie Boyd and Simon Harris in response to wanting a more aspirational work / life balance.

The business offers an opportunity for its patrons to travel in culturally iconic vehicles, namely a Vintage VW called Peter and two Land Rover Defenders called Jane and George.

Peter, Jane and George, all characters in J.M.Barrie's book "Peter Pan" can be used to explore the magic of Ireland, or further afield in Scotland, Wales and England.

Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, had an unmitigated faith in freedom, exploration and being light of heart. These sentiments are how the customers of Peter Pan Camper Van should expect to feel when experiencing travel at no fixed abode and being in control of choosing the view they wake up to every morning.

Currently, a lifestyle business designed to prioritise liberation of the owner’s time, the profit margins in this business are too attractive to not consider scaling this business up.

Peter Pan Camper Van is operating at a high and constant level, with bookings near full capacity as far as November this year.

The Business boasts a vibrant, contemporary and easy to use website detailing everything from information about each Vehicle, optional extras and frequently asked questions.

Simon & Katie, the creators and current owners, have truly loved growing Peter Pan Camper Van and feel it is now time for the next lucky owner to continue their journey or to capitalise on the fantastic opportunity to evolve and scale this business to its full potential.

From the Owners

The inspiration for our business was fused by a combination of the explosion of interest in the vanlife movement and enforced pandemic travel restrictions.

Having previously converted boats, buses and vans for our own personal use, we saw an opportunity to make the van life experience more accessible to more people. Van life without the commitment, if you will.

The roles in our romantic relationship mirror the roles we both have within our business. Simon is the ‘expansive thinker’ and I am the ‘anchor.’ He thrives when innovating and creating and I am happiest grounding and assembling those innovations.

These skill sets have been the secret sauce in bringing our business concept to reality.

Growing Peter Pan Camper Van together has been an absolute pleasure. The time commitment is minimal and the financial reward, maximal. The bricks and mortar have been laid. It is ready for someone to step in and immediately operate using our existing formula. A formula that is grounded in both monetary and time freedoms. Conversely, an opportunity presents itself to grow and scale using the current systems and processes as the mould.

Peter Pan Camper Van gives its customers an opportunity to turn down life’s external chatter.

It’s about embracing living more, with less.

It’s about experiences, not things

It’s about catching a glimpse of a breathtaking landscape and deciding it’s going to be your view when you’re having your morning coffee in bed.

It’s about driving past a lake, turning the van around, and going for an impromptu dip.

And it’s essentially about freedom, adventure, and infinite possibility.

We have been presented with opportunities that have forced our hand. We are, of course, naturally very sad that our chapter in the story of Peter Pan Camper Van has come to an end. Ultimately though, we are exhilarated to know that a business we birthed will continue to spread joy and prosperity in its new owners life.

The Fleet

Peter (1970s VW Camper Van)

Peter, once a West German Fire Engine, is now a fully converted vintage VW Campervan. His European heritage lends itself to left hand drive, and whilst adjustments have been made to allow for a more modern driving encounter, he is ultimately a classic car, brimming with 1970’s charm.

Peter’s internal landscape is multi-functional. Within his flexible living space, guests are afforded space to cook, eat, lounge and slumber. The live edge oak countertop accommodates a sink, fridge and a surface to cook on a portable gas stove.

In our humble opinion, Peter’s piece de resistance is his sunken tabletop fireplace. The bio ethanol to fuel the fire is provided, as are the fairy lights that frame his interior. These two tone setters lend themselves beautifully to creating the perfect post adventuring evening atmosphere.

Charging stations are situated throughout the campervan. These USB ports offer charging solutions for the technology required to preserve memories of your holiday in Ireland.

Finally, the 5 internal seat belts allow for multiple guests to travel in Peter, However, the sleeping area is designed with 2 adults in mind.

Jane (Landrover Defender)

The square proportions and round exposed headlamps make the lineage of the Land Rover Defender easy to trace. Its distinctive silhouette and gallant spirit has always been symbolic of exploration in the great outdoors.

Whilst Jane is indeed a four-wheel drive car complete with driver and passenger heated seats and a reversing camera, she is also a fully converted Campervan.

Take a closer look inside this hybrid Land Rover Defender Campervan and you will discover a space that offers many functions.

In a few simple steps, Jane’s comfortable ‘L’ shaped seating area converts to a snug double bed.

In keeping with the cosy theme, she has been fitted with a diesel heater to keep you toasty warm regardless of the Irish weather.

Alongside temperature, mood lighting is used throughout to create an ambient, some might even say, romantic atmosphere.

A plethora of usb ports have been included to guarantee full charge on phones, drones and whatever else you might need to freeze frame memories from your road trip in Ireland.

Whether you choose to have the internal fridge and sink close at hand when cooking, or to prepare meals outside on the drop down tailgate table, Jane the hybrid Campervan is fully equipped with all the utensils required to satisfy hungry tummies.

George (Landrover Defender)

With worldwide recognition for reliability and versatility, there is no car that screams adventure louder. George’s boxy bodywork gives him a robust and utilitarian feel. His interior, however, is quite the opposite.

Panoramic windows offer guests uninterrupted views of surrounding landscapes, seamlessly fostering a connection between what is indoors, and what is out.

His solar paneling harnesses renewable energy guaranteeing smartphones, laptops, tablets and drones are charged to preserve the special moments of your road trip in Ireland.

His portable gas stove and extending kitchen unit allow for cooking both inside the vehicle, and in the open air.

Finally, the dual function of his ‘L’ shaped sofa combines comfort and purpose, sliding with ease to become a space for lounging, or for sleeping.

After a day spent adventuring this cosy nook is the perfect place to marvel at the stars in the night sky, immerse yourself in the nocturnal sounds of nature or simply appreciate George’s toasty warm heating system and atmospheric lighting.
