The building was the home of the Christian Brothers during their time in Midleton. It further served as a secondary school in the 1960’s up until 1972, whilst the current school was in construction. On the departure of the Christian Brothers in 2002, the property reverted back to the Parish who had originally provided it to them. It was used as a centre for parish and community activities until 2022. The Building was originally built in the late 1800's and was significantly extended in the 1920's.
The downstairs accommodation comprises of a large kitchen area with a utility room, six spacious bedrooms/reception rooms, two of which having an open fireplace, and three W/C's. Upstairs, there are four further bedrooms/reception rooms, a chapel room and a shower/changing room with four W/C's. The total size of the property extends to 415 square meters approximately.
Outside, the property has spacious gardens that surround the building and is accompanied with 4 separate garden sheds. The property also has its own private gated parking to the front.
The property is ideally located as it is within walking distance of all local amenities in Midleton, is only a stone's throw to the N25 Road to Cork City and is within close proximity to Cobh, Carrigtwohill, Whitegate & Castlemartyr.

Midleton (pop. 3,798), 11 miles from Cork City on the N25, is the main market town for the East Cork region, and serves a prosperous agricultural hinterland. The town has a long history, dating back to the foundation of a Cistercian monastery in the 12th century. Today the town is probably best known for its whiskey, distilled here since 1825. You can learn all about the history of Irish whiskey and see how it was made in the Jameson Heritage Centre sited in the beautifully restored old distillery buildings. Midleton is also known for good restaurants and food. Not far from Midleton, near the village of Shanagarry is the famous Ballymaloe cooking school.
