By a country mile the most asked question I get is ‘do you know of any bungalows coming up’ #truestory and this angel might just have the answer to all those detached bungalow prayers
‘Aura Lee’ an absolutely fantastic well proportioned detached bungalow & garage in one of Ballymoney’s most popular residential areas
Those of you who have been on the look out for a well proportioned property within Ballymoney town perimeters will understand that the struggle is real to find the perfect balance of the accommodation you need along with the outdoor space and the postcode to meet the demands of everyday busy family life.
Location I believe is of paramount importance particularly when searching for a home for a young/growing family This incredibly deceiving family home holds a prime spot along the highly acclaimed Bann Road. With the Bann Road you have an address that opens the door to a wide variety of schooling options (from nursery, primary, secondary right through to higher education) and commuter destinations.
So bright open plan hallway leads us into a very practical layout. The impressive well proportioned accommodation comprises a total of 3 brilliant sized bedrooms and 2 reception rooms (lovely front lounge and then dining/family room). Good sized kitchen and this bungalow is of the vintage where the toilet is separate to bathroom (bath with electric shower over)
It is what it is and I’m not going to say its a walk in job, super modern or in amazing decorative order because I’m quite sure you can tell by the photos that this bungalow could do with a revamp and modernisation. I’m guessing we are talking new kitchen, bathroom and complete redecoration but what a place to invest in for someone's forever home.
I’m guessing to the right buyer that could potentially be part of the attraction because it means you have a blank canvas to put your own stamp on.
Whilst I understand the lure of a new build for me these solid, well established properties win hands down in terms of plot/site size which is obviously very relevant to the outdoor space a home can offer in terms of its gardens, the scope round it and the privacy on offer all of which I believe are major factors in the quest for a family home. This combined with the really fantastic room sizes, the actual substantial accommodation and of course the all important garage PLUS workshop I think its fair to say we are racking up a lot of pros... Certainly noteworthy is the fact that the bungalow was fulled rewired in 2008 and new OFCH boiler in 2012
The reality is when it comes to any second hand property it’s impossible to find one that will tick every single box and it very much boils down to the buyers recognition of what criteria is absolutely essential to them. This property has incredible potential to be transformed into a dream come true home and ultimately the buyer will have their own ideas & preferences when it comes to decor and that personalisation of a property.
When the location and bones are ‘Aura Lee’ good in my opinion its time to consider your options wisely because as locals well know this is a limited edition address and opportunity for the right buyer.
