Irish Cottage with full planning permission for modern architectural extension!

Located on the outskirts of Dungarvan, only a short 4.5km drive from the town centre, this spacious 3 bedroom thatch cottage is standing on 1 acre approx on a very private elevated site.

With private gravel driveway and mature lawned gardens to the rear, the property is in a wonderful countryside setting. The property was granted full planning permission in 2022 for a new rear wing - see drawings in photos.

The cottage itself is quite spacious as is and has both a lounge and living room to the front of the property with fitted stoves. The kitchen/dining room was an extension in the early 2000s and has handcrafted fitted units with access to an adjoining utility and shower room. There are 3 bedrooms in the cottage - two to the front and one to the rear.

Externally, the property has a large driveway with space for multiple vehicles and a gorgeous mature rear elevated garden with manicured lawns and shrubs.

This property is in a superb location just a 6-8 minute drive of Dungarvan town centre with easy access to the main Clonmel, Cork and Waterford routes.

St Jude Thatch Cottage would be ideal for somebody looking to be close to town but keep their countryside lifestyle and has massive future potential for those interested in carrying out the granted works.

Currently: 92 sq.m. (990 sq.ft.) approx.

On completion of works: 206 m2 (2,216 sq.ft) approx.

Dungarvan (Irish: Dún Garbhán) is a seaside resort town and harbour, situated on the N25 national primary road and the R672 and R675 regional roads. The nearest airports are Waterford Airport, which is 50km away and the larger Cork Airport, which is 80km away. Dungarvan is at the mouth of the Colligan River, which divides the town into two parts. Dungarvan Harbour as such is formed by The Quay (on the town side) and The Causeway. Outside the harbour, a 3 km sandbar, "The Cunnigar" defines the western limit of the 4 km-wide Dungarvan Bay. There is a well-maintained concrete slipway in Dungarvan town, suitable for launching vessels up to eight metres in length. Moorings are usually made available to visiting yachts by Dungarvan Harbour Sailing Club, often free of charge.
